周智广，男，1961年1月生，教授，一级主任医师，博士生导师。  

中南大学湘雅二医院代谢内分泌研究所所长， 国家代谢性疾病临床医学研究中心负责人，内科学（内分泌与代谢病）国家重点学科带头人，糖尿病免疫学教育部重点实验室建设负责人，教育部创新团队带头人，湖南省糖尿病研究中心主任，。

中华医学会糖尿病学分会副主任委员，兼1型糖尿病学组组长。国际糖尿病免疫学会专家组成员。国家自然科学基金委评审委员。《Diabetes Metabolism Research and Reviews》、《Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice》等5本英文杂志编委。

先后承担糖尿病国家973、863、科技支撑计划、国际合作研究项目及国家自然科学基金面上和重点项目等。专注糖尿病免疫诊治和免疫发病机制研究。建立了国内首家国际标准化胰岛自身抗体检测平台，提出了适合国情的糖尿病免疫分型诊断标准，发现雷公藤多甙、罗格列酮、维生素D 对成人隐匿性自身免疫糖尿病（LADA）的治疗作用，牵头编写了“中国1型糖尿病诊治指南”，对糖尿病疫苗研究已20年。发表中华医学系列论文91篇，SCI论文51篇。培养毕业博士研究生43名。先后获得国家科技进步奖2项及省部级科技奖9项。获全国中青年医学科技之星（1996）、中国青年科技奖（1997）、卫生部有突出贡献中青年专家（2012）等称号。1993年起享受国务院政府特殊津贴。
