[教学工作]：

主讲动物科学专业本科生《普通遗传学》、《家畜育种学》实习课、《生物统计学》和研究生的《细胞遗传学》，参与本科生《基础分子生物学》理论教学、研究生的《分子生物学》教学。

[科研工作]：

主持在研国家自然科学基金面上项目一项。先后参与完成了国家自然科学基金项目、国际科学基金、863项目、转基因重大专项、湖北省科技攻关重点项目的相关研究工作。主要研究方向为动物肌肉品质的遗传与基因组学。2009年6月至9月赴比利时列日大学Michel Georges教授实验室开展了三个月的访问研究，利用全基因组SNP芯片扫描技术结合外显子测序鉴定了法国Salers牛先天性甲状腺减少的致因突变。2010年，参与广西扬翔校企合作，担任南方片区品改专员，指导猪精生产与公猪站生物安全建设。2011年1月-2013年9月，在比利时列日大学Michel Georges教授实验室开展博士后研究，利用转基因小鼠研究了绵羊PEG11基因在“Callipyge”肌肉肥大表型中的作用。
